(Adnkronos) – The Indo-Pacific region’s stability is a central priority for the Group of Seven, Italy’s foreign minister Antoino Tajani and his Japanese counterpart Takeshi Iwaya agreed late Thursday during talks at a G7 ministerial meeting in, Charlevoix, Canada.
“At #Charlevoix I met with Japanese Foreign Minister Iwaya. The stability of the Indo-Pacific is at the heart of the agenda #G7,” Tajani wrote on X.
Tajani will travel in April to the city of Osaka in central Japan to inaugurate Italy’s pavilion at the Expo2025 world trade fair (taking place from 13 April-13 October), he wrote.
“It will be an opportunity to further consolidate Italy and Japan’s excellent strategic partnership and to launch new collaboration,” the post concluded.
