France, prefecture bans tomorrow’s Yellow Vests and Cgt march in central Paris

(Adnkronos) – The routes for tomorrow’s demonstration in central Paris proposed by the Cgt and the Yellow Vests against “the high cost of living” have been banned by the police prefecture, which has authorized the march only in the suburbs, between Porte de Bagnolet and Porte de Charenton. In “an extremely tense social context” and “in order to preserve the freedom to demonstrate within the framework of this social mobilization, taking into account the imperatives of public order and the need to prevent excesses and abuses”, the separate routes traced by the Cgt and the Yellow Vests must “converge” in a single gathering, according to the police prefecture’s order.
