(Adnkronos) – In December, retail sales in the euro area fell by 0.5% compared to November, rising by 1.3% compared to December 2024. This was reported by Eurostat. The data is worse than the consensus, the average of analysts’ forecasts. For the whole of 2025, they rose by 2.3% compared to 2024. In the EU, in December, they fell by 0.5% month-on-month and rose by 1.7% year-on-year.
