(Adnkronos) – Clashes between Turkish-backed groups and Kurdish-led forces have killed 37 people in the northern Syrian region of Manbij, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, speaking of “fierce battles, in the last few hours, in the Manbij area, between the (Kurdish-led) Syrian Democratic Forces and factions of the (Turkish-backed) National Army, which are fighting with Turkish air cover”. The observatory said the attacks “killed 37 people in a preliminary toll”, mostly Turkish-backed fighters.
