Mideast: Tajani ‘proud’ of Italy’s aid to Gaza

5 Dicembre 2025

(Adnkronos) – Foreign minister Antonio Tajani is “proud” of the government’s aid to Palestinians in war-devastated Gaza, including airlifting over 200 sick and injured children and their families to Italy for medical treatment and granting over 200 scholarships to study at Italian universities.

“I am proud of the work done by Italy. With humanitarian aid to Gaza we have enabled many children to receive medical treatment and many Palestinian students to complete their studies here,” Tajani said in an interview with the new ‘Forza 4’ podcast.

Italy has contributed 40 million euros in humanitarian assistance to Gaza in recent months, including food, medical and basic relief supplies channelled through the UN World Food Programme and the Red Cross.

‘’I saw and experienced war for the first time as a journalist, as a correspondent, over forty years ago and, unfortunately, all wars have one thing in common, which is suffering and pain,” Tajani said.

Tavani’s interview with ‘Forza 4’ can be viewed on YouTube, Spotify and social media platforms.
