(Adnkronos) – The Russian Interior Ministry and the Federal Security Service (FSB) thwarted “a terrorist plot” that targeted an administrative building in Volgodonsk, Rostov region, in southern Russia. The FSB reported this to Tass, adding that they arrested a student with 10 kilograms of an improvised explosive device.
“A terrorist attack planned by the secret services of the Kyiv regime in a crowded place in Volgodonsk was thwarted. A police patrol – the FSB specified – arrested a sixteen-year-old from a regional educational institution, who was heading towards the municipal administration building, carrying a heavy backpack that seemed suspicious to the police.” Checks carried out revealed a time bomb inside with a mass equivalent to 10 kg of TNT. According to the Ukrainian plan, the girl was supposed to deliver her backpack to an official near the entrance of the municipal administration building.
