(Adnkronos) – Nine people were injured on board a Ryanair flight due to severe turbulence during the flight between Berlin and Milan Malpensa. The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing at Memmingen Airport in Bavaria, southern Germany, 113 kilometers west of Munich. This was reported by the Bavarian police, according to the Dpa.
There were 179 passengers and six crew members on board the Ryanair flight. The injured are eight passengers, including a two-year-old child, and one crew member.
The German national weather service had issued a warning for the risk of storms, strong winds and hail.
