Lebanon: Marcelli, Haidar, Bayrakdarian mull labour reform, sports diplomacy

(Adnkronos) – Labour reform, sports diplomacy and bilateral cooperation were the focus of talks in Beirut on Friday between Italy’s envoy Fabrizio Marcelli, Lebanon’s labour minister Mohamad Haidar and sports minister Nora Bayrakdarian. 

“The Ambassador met @laborministrylb Mohamad Haidar & @minyouthsport @NBayrakdarian,” the embassy wrote on Twitter (formerly Twitter). 

“Discussions covered labour reform, skills training, youth Olympics & sport diplomacy, and Italy-Lebanon collaboration ahead of the #WinterOlympics & #Medgames to be held in #Italy (in 2026),” the tweet added.
