(Adnkronos) – The death sentence of a man who killed a police officer in the city of Zarandieh, in the central province of Markazi, has been carried out in Iran. This was reported by the Iranian Judiciary news agency, Mizan online. ”The murderer intentionally hit the police commander of the city of Zarandieh with his car while he was stopping some smugglers on the side of the highway,” Mizan said. The events date back to 30 May 2023.
The defendant was sentenced to death at the request of the victim’s family. ”The victim’s parents refused to forgive the killer and the death sentence was carried out this morning in Saveh prison,” Mizan reported.
