(Adnkronos) – Ukraine’s president Vladimir Zelensky will hold talks in Rome on Friday at 10 am with Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella and later with Italy’s premier Giorgia Meloni.
Pope Francis will also hold talks with Zelensky at the Vatican on Friday.
Zelensky hoped to meet with Joe Biden during the outgoing US president’s planned farewell visit to Rome this week, which Biden cancelled on Wednesday to monitor the government’s response to wildfires raging across the Los Angeles area.
