South Korea, acting President Han Duck-soo interrogated

20 Dicembre 2024

(Adnkronos) – South Korean police interrogated acting President and Prime Minister Han Duck-soo. It is the first time and he was heard in relation to the events of December 3, when Yoon Seul Yeol, the president ‘suspended’ after the vote for impeachment in Parliament, tried to impose martial law. He was heard about his role in relation to Yoon’s decisions, the police said, as reported by the South Korean agency Yonhap.

“Of the 12 people who attended the meeting (of the government held shortly before Yoon imposed martial law, which was soon revoked), we interrogated nine people, excluding President Yoon, former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun and the Minister for Unification, Kim Yung-ho,” an official explained. According to a prime minister’s office official, Han was questioned before “taking over as acting president,” so either last Saturday or before that day.
