(Adnkronos) – Polish secret services have arrested eight people suspected of planning sabotage in the country. This was confirmed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, explaining in a post on X that the suspects were arrested in various parts of Poland in recent days.

According to the coordinator of the Polish secret services, Tomasz Siemoniak, the suspects scouted military facilities and critical infrastructure, preparing means to carry out acts of sabotage and attacks.

Poland is one of Ukraine’s main political and military supporters. The Warsaw government accuses the secret services of Russia and Belarus – a close ally of Moscow – of having sent numerous agents into the country and recruited saboteurs. Intelligence has announced that in recent months alone, 55 people suspected of acting on behalf of Russian secret services to the detriment of Poland have been arrested.
