The EU is ready to support the peace process, President Paul Kagame.” This was written in a social media post by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, following her meeting with the Rwandan President, within the framework of the Global Gateway Forum. For von der Leyen, the peace process “will pave the way for regional integration and investment. Starting immediately,” she writes, recalling that the Global Gateway program “supports Rwanda’s ambition to become a leader in vaccine production and medical innovation with a new investment of 95 million euros.”
