(Adnkronos) – A group of 15 Italians removed last week from an Israeli-intercepted aid flotilla headed for war-ravaged Gaza were flown home on Monday via Greece, foreign minister Antonio Tajani wrote on X (formerly Twitter)
“The 15 Italians from the (Global Sumud) Flotilla remaining in Israel are taking off at this moment bound for Athens to return to Italy,” Tajani wrote.
“They are all in excellent physical condition. I thank all our staff for the great assistance work carried out,” the post continued.
“I am proud to lead the foreign ministry,” Tajani added.
