(Adnkronos) – An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 on the Richter scale was recorded off the coast of Almeria in Andalusia, in southern Spain. El Paìs reports this, explaining that hundreds of calls were made to rescuers after the tremors were felt mainly in Almeria, but also from Granada to Malaga, from Murcia to Alicante. No damage or injuries have been reported at the moment.
The earthquake, according to Spanish media, struck a region of high seismic activity, on the border between the African and Eurasian tectonic plates.
