Spain, Andalusia fire: 3 British, one French, one Belgian and one Spanish among victims

(Adnkronos) – Three British citizens, one French woman, one Belgian and one Spaniard are the first of the 13 identified victims of the massive fire near Almeria in Andalusia, southern Spain. Local authorities announced this after the first autopsies were conducted and after another 93-year-old British woman died in hospital yesterday due to her injuries. Six victims are yet to be identified, while the number of missing remains uncertain. 

“The first six autopsies of the victims of the Los Gallardos fire have been completed,” the public body responsible for identifying the bodies stated in a press release, referring to “three men and three women, including five foreigners.” The fire destroyed seven thousand hectares of woodland.
