(Adnkronos) – South Korea has proposed holding military talks with North Korea to “mutually confirm the precise location” of the border and discuss restoring communication lines, after an explosion in the demilitarized zone strained relations between the two countries.
The South Korean Ministry of Defense “formally proposes to initiate military talks with North Korea to mutually confirm the exact location of the terrestrial Military Demarcation Line and discuss ways to restore military communication lines and prevent accidental clashes in border areas,” Kim Hong-cheol, Deputy Minister of Defense for Policy, told reporters.
