(Adnkronos) – Tax revenues from the sale of gas and oil in Russia will increase by ten percent in October, to 11.97 billion dollars, compared to the same period last year, and will more than double compared to September, Reuters calculated, as reported by Moscow Times. Excluding additional quarterly payments on oil profits, the increase in October, compared to September, is 36 percent. The effect of rising oil prices attributable to the Gulf War is mitigated by a 5 percent drop in production in the third quarter of the year, compared to the same period in 2025. The state budget for 2026 was based on tax revenues from the sale of gas and oil of 8.91 trillion rubles (for total revenues of 40.28 trillion). Between January and October, revenues will still settle at 6.45 trillion rubles, 14% less than in the same period of the previous year.
