(Adnkronos) – French students, today protagonists of Act IV of the protests, will return to the streets on October 13 for a new day of national mobilization. The appeal, according to the Bfmtv website, was launched by the Union étudiante and immediately supported by Unef and several education unions, including Fsu, Cgt, Solidaires, and Cfdt. “I invite everyone to join the mobilization in even greater numbers and take to the streets on Tuesday,” declared the spokesperson for the Union étudiante, Sabrine Kharbach, from Place de la Bastille, in Paris.
Kharbach stated that over 90% of universities are currently affected by student blockades and mobilizations and called for concrete interventions to improve study conditions. “As long as there aren’t 10 billion on the table, we won’t stop mobilizing,” she warned. The protest also involves high school students. “No concrete measures. The mobilization will continue and we will not give up,” said the president of the Union syndicale lycéenne, Ryad Rani, accusing Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu of not having responded to their demands.
