17 Settembre 2026

(Adnkronos) – The President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, will not be able to travel to New York and participate in the United Nations General Assembly next week, after the United States once again denied him an entry visa to the country. A source familiar with the details confirmed this to the Afp news agency. Previously, the State Department had officially announced an extension of visa sanctions against high-ranking Palestinian Authority officials and PLO members, claiming they continue to not respect commitments made with Washington. Abbas’s name was not mentioned in the official State Department announcement.
