(Adnkronos) – A necklace with 673 diamonds has been stolen from the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna. The Austrian police announced this, releasing images of the two perpetrators of the theft, still at large, who acted with their faces uncovered. Ten years ago, the necklace was sold at auction in New York for 4.3 million dollars.
According to what the Kurier reports, the two men entered the museum in the early afternoon, paying the entrance fee. After visiting various rooms, they allegedly destroyed the display case containing the necklace with a hammer and then fled on foot. The police announced that they have launched a national and international search.
