(Adnkronos) – At least seven people died and many others were injured today due to a stampede in a temple located in the eastern Indian state of Bihar: local authorities reported that the stampede occurred after an electrical cable broke, causing panic among the crowd at the Ashok Dham temple in the Lakhisarai district, about 125 km southeast of Patna, the capital of Bihar. Following the incident, local government officials and police went to the scene to oversee rescue operations.
