(Adnkronos) – Russian raids have caused the death of eight people and the injury of 57 others across Ukraine in the last 24 hours. One of the attacks occurred in the Odesa region, where Moscow’s forces struck an oil tanker truck. The flames quickly spread to a nearby parked car, killing two people and injuring three others, regional governor Oleh Kiper stated. According to the air force, Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, a Kh-31P anti-radar missile, Kh-35 air-launched missiles, and 138 Shahed-type drones. The main targeted areas, according to the report, were the Odesa and Sumy regions. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 112 drones in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine. Missile and drone attacks were recorded in 16 locations, while debris from downed targets was reported in two locations.
In the Kherson oblast, Russian forces struck 33 settlements, including the regional capital of Kherson, killing two people and injuring 14 others, according to the local military administration. In the Sumy region, Russian attacks caused the death of a 61-year-old man in the city of the same name and a 62-year-old man in the locality of Velyka Pysarivka. Four other civilians were injured in Russian attacks in other areas of the region, according to the local military administration. In the Donetsk region, Russian forces killed one person in Druzhkivka and injured 14 others in Russian attacks against other settlements in the eastern region, governor Vadym Filashkin stated.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian attacks caused one death and nine injuries, while in the Kharkiv oblast, eight people were injured, including a 15-year-old boy, governor Oleh Syniehubov stated. In the Chernihiv region, two people were injured in recent days following Russian drone attacks, governor Viacheslav Chaus stated. In the Dnipropetrovsk oblast, two people were injured in Russian attacks against the Nikopol district, which is located across the Dnipro river from Russian-occupied territory, governor Oleksandr Hanzha stated. In the Kyiv region, a 65-year-old man was injured in the Brovary district and was hospitalized.
