Gaza, Hamas calls for international investigation into Israel’s use of ‘banned weapons’

21 Febbraio 2025

(Adnkronos) – Hamas has called for an international investigation into the use of “banned weapons” by the Israeli army in the offensive against the Gaza Strip. “We demand the formation of international commissions to investigate the use of banned weapons by the Zionist occupation”, said Hamas spokesman Abdelatif al-Qanu, according to whom Israel used the weapons “against the Palestinian people”. The Palestinian newspaper “Filastin” reports it.

The spokesman reiterated that Hamas is “committed” to the ceasefire agreement, in force since 19 January, “as long as the Zionist occupation is equally committed”, and urged Israel to “implement all the clauses of the humanitarian protocol”. “We are ready to complete the implementation of the agreement in all its phases, so as to satisfy our requests”, he explained, before accusing Netanyahu of “blocking the second phase of the ceasefire agreement”.
