(Adnkronos) – Olaf Scholz’s SPD is gaining ground less than 20 days before the vote for the renewal of the Bundestag with the early elections to be held in Germany on February 23. This is revealed by a new YouGov poll, the results of which were released today.
The outgoing chancellor’s Social Democrats recorded an increase of three points to 18%, the conservative alliance Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) remains firm at 29%, maintaining its lead, followed by Alternative for Germany (AfD), which loses one point compared to last week, dropping to 22%.
The Greens also lose one point, now standing at 12%, while the Left Party (Die Linke) continues its growth trend, reaching 6%. Sahra Wagenknecht’s Populist Alliance (BSW) remains stable at 6% and the Liberals of the Fdp gain one point, rising to 4%, but remaining below the threshold. The survey was conducted from January 31 to February 4.
