(Adnkronos) – Iran and the United States have created ”a line of communication” in the Strait of Hormuz ”to prevent incidents that could trigger a military escalation”. This was reported exclusively by a well-informed source to the Iranian broadcaster Press TV, citing mediators who participated in negotiations in Switzerland. Iran stressed that, based on the agreement reached between Tehran and Washington, any transit through the Strait of Hormuz must take place along the routes established by the Islamic Republic.
Press TV recalls that, based on the 14-point interim agreement signed on June 18, which ended the war that began on February 28, Tehran has committed to doing everything possible to ensure the safe passage of commercial vessels for 60 days without any tolls.
