(Adnkronos) – The British Prime Minister Keir Starmer reiterated, in an interview with the BBC, that “I have no intention of abandoning my position” as premier. Regarding the Labour Party, he added that “I don’t think we should throw the country into the chaos of a leadership election”, but ”if that were to happen, I would fight”. Starmer then stated that “in recent weeks others have presented their arguments. I have focused on the work for which I was elected, which is to contribute to this country”.
“It’s about a sense of service and duty. It’s not vanity. It’s not stubbornness. It’s duty,” Starmer added.
