(Adnkronos) – A powerful explosion occurred in a military camp belonging to pro-government forces in the southern port city of Aden, Yemen, killing 12 soldiers and wounding several others. According to local sources reported to Xinhua news agency, the explosion occurred in a camp managed by the pro-government Giant Brigades in the Al-Mimdarah area of Aden and was heard throughout much of the city.
According to initial information, the cause was reportedly an electrical short circuit in an ammunition depot that triggered a fire, causing the explosion within the storage area. Witnesses reported seeing flames and dense columns of smoke rising from the camp, followed by subsequent explosions.
