(Adnkronos) – Nine Palestinians from Gaza are set to study advance art, music and choreography while eight others will continue their university studies in Italy after arriving in the country on Tuesday, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The 17 Gazans landed in Rome from Amman, after obtaining visas and travel permits which allowed them to enter Jordan, where they spent the night at the Italian Hospital in Amman, according to the statement.
A total 229 Palestinian students had aready arrived in Italy since the autumn as part of scheme backed by foreign minister Antonio Tajani, the statement noted.
