Uganda, temporary closure of borders with Democratic Republic of Congo

(Adnkronos) – Uganda has temporarily closed its borders with the Democratic Republic of Congo due to “the increasing spread” of the Ebola epidemic in the neighboring country. This was announced by an official from Uganda’s Ministry of Health. The border remains open only for emergency staff, humanitarian aid, and the transport of food supplies and goods, as well as for members of the security forces, under specific conditions. People arriving in Uganda from the Democratic Republic of Congo will have to observe a 21-day quarantine period, it was specified during a press conference.
