This was stated by United Nations spokesperson Farhan Haq, referring to Iran’s creation of the Persian Gulf Strait Authority to administer navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. “Ultimately,” he added, “our goal is to ensure that there are no limitations on freedom of navigation on the high seas and in the Strait of Hormuz”.
