This is the promise Chinese leader Xi Jinping made while meeting with executives of major US companies during talks in Beijing on the occasion of Donald Trump’s visit. “China’s doors will open even wider,” Xi said, according to statements reported by the official Chinese agency Xinhua. “American companies will have even broader prospects in China.”
The Chinese leader stated that the Asian giant welcomes the “strengthening of cooperation” with the US, which is “mutually beneficial” for both countries. Trump’s delegation includes CEOs of major American companies, starting with Elon Musk and Jensen Huang, who lead Nvidia.
