(Adnkronos) – Former Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, now leader of the opposition party “For Georgia”, was hospitalized with a broken nose after being attacked by Dimitri Samkharadze, a member of the ruling ‘Georgian Dream’ party, in the lobby of a Batumi hotel on the Black Sea. Gakharia was attacked while alone yesterday morning, his party colleague Berdia Sichinava said, accusing tycoon Bidzina Ivanishvili, founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party, of “orchestrating the attack.” Georgian Dream, on the other hand, accuses Gakharia of provoking the attack on Dimitri Samkharadze.
