Pentagon denies, 6 months not needed to clear Strait of Hormuz

(Adnkronos) – The Pentagon denies the news reported by the Washington Post, according to which it will take six months to clear the Strait of Hormuz. In a statement, the chief spokesman for the Department of War, Sean Parnell, said that “the partial selection by the media of leaked information, much of which is false, from a classified and closed-door briefing is dishonest journalism”. “An assessment does not mean that the assessment is plausible, and a six-month closure of the Strait of Hormuz is impossible and completely unacceptable to the secretary,” Parnell told AFP.
