(Adnkronos) – Diplomat Paolo Palminteri has taken up his post as Italy’s new ambassador to North Macedonia, the foreign ministry announced on X.
“Congratulations to @PaoloPalminteri, Italy’s new ambassador to the Republic of North Macedonia,” the foreign ministry wrote.
“North Macedonia, friend, ally, and key crossroad in the Balkans peninsula. I pledge to strengthen excellent bilateral ties in all areas, and to support the country’s EU entry and its reunification with our common European home,” Palminteri wrote in a message posted with the tweet.
