Cairo, March 19 (Jiji Press)–The Israeli Foreign Ministry has announced the appointment of foreign policy expert Emmanuel Navon, 55, as ambassador to Japan to succeed Gilad Cohen, 58. International order and geopolitics are the main research themes of Navon, who teaches international relations at Tel Aviv University. A Japanese version of “A Diplomatic History of Israel,” one of the books he authored, was published last year. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said he is sure that Navon will make great contributions to strengthening relations with Japan.
