(Adnkronos) – Three explosive-laden drones attacked the United States embassy near Baghdad airport, Iraq. Police sources stated that an air defense system was activated. Several loud explosions were heard, according to AFP, attributable to the activation of the embassy’s air defense system which intercepted the aircraft. Another witness saw a fire in the embassy compound from his balcony; the fire was also reported by a security officer, who stated that it had been caused by a drone.
