(Adnkronos) – New closure for the Louvre, the most visited museum in the world, which today did not open its doors to visitors due to an employee strike. This is the third day of closure in January. Employees are demanding better working conditions, more maintenance for the former royal palace, and a higher level of security after the sensational daytime theft last October 19 of the Crown jewels, valued at over 100 million dollars.
A message on the official Louvre website states that tickets already purchased will be automatically refunded.
