(Adnkronos) – The Department of Justice has sent election observers to districts mostly won by Democrats in the 2024 elections. This emerges from CNN’s analysis of the list of 126 counties and cities across all 50 states where the Trump administration sent a thousand federal observers with the official task of ensuring there are no violations of federal election law, such as racial discrimination, voter intimidation, or lack of language assistance.
The broadcaster notes, however, that many of the locations where observers were sent are Democratic strongholds, such as large cities like Detroit and Chicago, or counties like Johnson County in Kansas and Harris County in Texas, which could be crucial for decisive Senate battles.
