(Adnkronos) – Yair Golan’s Democrats have announced that they will support Yashar leader Gadi Eisenkot as Israel’s next prime minister. The Democrats thus become the last Zionist opposition party to publicly announce their support for Eisenkot, following yesterday’s announcement by B’Yachad leader Naftali Bennett and today’s statement by Yisrael Beytenu chairman, Avigdor Liberman.
It is estimated that Israeli President Isaac Herzog will entrust the task of forming the new government to whoever receives the most support.
