(Adnkronos) – A ship chartered by the Israeli company Zim Integrated Shipping Services sank last night after being hit by three naval drones off the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. According to Zim, the crew of the container ship, which departed from the port of Haifa and was headed to Constanta, Romania, was rescued and safely evacuated. All 18 crew members – 14 Filipinos and four Ukrainians – were rescued by Bulgarian Navy and border police vessels, then transferred to the port city of Varna for medical checks, ‘The Times of Israel’ reports. Images posted on social media appear to show one of the suicide naval drones speeding across the water before beginning to turn towards the ship.
