Macron on young people, ‘we must listen to what is being said, offer support, do our best’

(Adnkronos) – “I have tried to do good things; perhaps I haven’t done them well enough.” Emmanuel Macron also spoke about young people, their anxieties and their demands, meeting journalists in Doha. Hoping for “greater transparency” for Parcoursup, the school guidance platform at the center of high school students’ demands, Macron said that “we must listen to what is expressed regarding the existing anxiety,” referring to a generation marked by attacks, Covid, changes in the world of work linked to artificial intelligence, the war in Ukraine, and the climate crisis.

“We must listen, we must offer support, we must try to do our best. In recent years I have tried to do my best; perhaps I have tried to achieve positive things, but perhaps some I have not done well enough,” he concluded.
