(Adnkronos) – The American tech giant Meta has announced that it has complied with the order of the Brazilian Superior Electoral Court (Tse), which had ordered the company to guarantee equal treatment to outgoing president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and his right-wing challenger Flavio Bolsonaro ahead of the presidential runoff on Sunday, October 25.
“We have completed the implementation of the necessary measures to comply with the decision of the Superior Electoral Court,” Meta stated in a note. The announcement comes after the court yesterday gave the company 24 hours to demonstrate that it was treating the two candidates fairly, threatening a fine of over 200,000 euros per day otherwise.
