Tokyo, Oct. 20 (Jiji Press)–Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will visit Japan for four days from Monday, his first trip to the country since taking office in February, the Japanese government said Tuesday. He will hold a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi during the official working visit. Amid China’s growing engagement in South Asia, Takaichi aims to strengthen ties between Japan and Bangladesh, hoping that the two countries will cooperate for the advancement of the “free and open Indo-Pacific” diplomatic initiative.
