Spain, polls: only Vox grows and rises to 18.4%, Pp at 31.6% and Psoe at 27.4%

(Adnkronos) – The Popular Party (Pp), the main Spanish center-right party led by Alberto Feijoo, confirms itself as the country’s leading force with 31.6% of voting intentions, although down 1.5 points compared to what it obtained in the July 2023 elections (33.1%). It is followed by the Psoe of Spanish socialist premier Pedro Sanchez with 27.4%, down 4.3 points compared to the July 2023 elections (31.7%). Santiago Abascal’s far-right Vox party is the only party gaining voting intentions and rises in the polls to 18.4%, 6 points more than in the 2023 elections (12.4%). This emerges from the 40dB poll for El Pais and Cadena Ser conducted before the rejection of the housing decrees by Pp, Vox and Junts presented by the government and before today’s announcement by the Spanish premier of early elections for November 29. In addition to the Psoe, the other two left-wing parties Sumar (5.6%, -6.7 points) and Podemos (2.7%) also record slight declines.

The possible coalition of Pp and Vox would therefore win the Spanish elections. The Pp already governs together with Vox in four autonomous communities: Andalusia, Castile and León, Aragon and Extremadura. In terms of political blocs, there is no contest. The right reaches 52%, including Pp, Vox and Salf, the party of far-right agitator Luis Pérez, alias Alvise, which drops from 2.2% to 2%. The left-wing coalition – Psoe, Sumar and Podemos – stops at 35.7%, with a gap of 16.3 points.
