Sweden, new exploratory mandate for Social Democratic leader Andersson

2 Ottobre 2026

(Adnkronos) – The Speaker of the Swedish Parliament announced today that he has once again entrusted the Social Democratic leader with the task of forming a government, almost three weeks after the legislative elections narrowly won by the left-wing bloc. “In light of the talks I have conducted, I have decided to entrust Magdalena Andersson, leader of the Social Democratic Party, with the task of resuming exploratory consultations,” Andreas Norlén declared during a press conference. On Monday, Andersson had given up the idea of forming a government due to the lack of an agreement between the left-wing and center parties.
