Israel, High Court annuls exclusion of Arab parties from elections

(Adnkronos) – The Israeli High Court of Justice unanimously annulled the decision of the Central Election Commission to exclude the United List, a coalition predominantly composed of Arab parties, from the upcoming elections. According to the judges, cited by the Times of Israel, the necessary requirements to prevent their participation in the vote do not exist. The Court also revoked the exclusion of Ra’am, the Islamist party led by Mansour Abbas, which had participated in the Bennett-Lapid government.
