(Adnkronos) – Sri Lanka’s High Court has sentenced 15 men accused of planning the 2019 Easter Sunday suicide attacks, which caused the death of 279 people and injured over 500. Among those convicted is Naufer Moulavi, who, according to the prosecution, masterminded the attacks, while nine others were acquitted. The coordinated attacks against three churches and three luxury hotels on April 21, 2019, were the deadliest attack in Sri Lanka since the end of the civil war in 2009. Among the victims were forty-five foreigners. All the attackers who carried out the attacks died in the explosions
