(Adnkronos) – Russian President Vladimir Putin voted online in the elections for the renewal of the State Duma currently underway in Russia and in the occupied territories of Ukraine. The Kremlin released an image of the President sitting at his desk in front of a computer, his right hand on the mouse and his gaze focused. This is not new. Putin had already voted remotely in 2024, in the Presidential elections. Online voting is criticized, not only in Russia, for its lack of transparency and controls. In countries like Russia, with a history of fraud and other irregularities, it is considered more dangerous than elsewhere.
