Midterm, voting is already possible in Virginia, Minnesota, Idaho, and South Dakota

18 Settembre 2026

(Adnkronos) – There’s still a month and a half until Election Day, November 3rd, but in some states, it’s already possible to vote for the midterm elections starting today. In Virginia, early in-person voting begins today, meaning voting in person at polling stations, while in Minnesota, Idaho, and South Dakota, also starting today, “absentee ballots” can be submitted. An absentee ballot is for a voter who cannot go to the polling station on election day and can submit it either in person or by mail before the election date.

Virginia voters, on the other hand, can go to designated early voting polling stations starting today and for the next 45 days, until October 31st, to vote in person in advance.
